DEDICATION TO THE THREE Cs
Our Mission
The mission of the Alliance shall be to build a force of advocates that will work to influence public policy that reflects nature’s rights amongst the Ole Miss community. The Alliance hopes to inform law students and the community how to promote policy that pushes for the “Three Cs” – clean air, clean water, & clean land – by seeking real solutions to environmental problems (i.e., climate change, illegal dumping & littering, air pollution, deforestation, etc.). The Alliance’s initiatives aim to facilitate environmental, natural, and cultural resource activism through example, education, and community involvement.

Our Story
The Earth Policy Alliance was founded in March 2019 by Libby Hufham with founding members Seth Dickinson, Nestor Delgado, Johnny Douglas, Megan Ryan, Cameron Woo, Cole Duty, and Haley Nutt, first year students at Ole Miss Law; all coming from diverse backgrounds, yet sharing nearly identical concerns and admirations for the planet we call "home." Following a brief hiking trip to Tishomingo State Park in Mississippi, the idea for the Alliance was born. Being eye-witnesses to the costly effect of high volume human traffic to a normally unpolluted ecosystem became a call-to-action. Having a fire struck within them, the founding members established a driven organization that is dedicated to bringing together advocates working to encourage policy and legislation promoting the "Three Cs" - clean air, clean water, and clean land - locally and nationally. The Alliance was created in hopes of becoming a forum for students to share their love for the earth together via service and discussion amongst themselves and their surrounding community.
